One of this years most prominent events in the field of micro- and nanosystems is the official launch of the new European Technology Platform on Smart Systems Integration, EPoSS.
EPoSS is an industry driven initiative defining R&D and innovation needs and policy recommendations related to Smart Systems Integration and integrated micro and nanosystems. EPoSS is contributing to the Lisbon Strategy, aiming at increasing economic growth, creating more and better jobs and ensuring sustainable prosperity in Europe.
The EPoSS Launch Event will take place in Brussels on July 5th, 2006 with the participation of Commissioner Ms. Viviane Reding.
High level industry representatives will give you an overview on strategic research issues of smart systems for the most important industry sectors.
