The Nanoscience Department of the University of Burgundy is organizing the 3rd International Conference on Surface Plasmon Photonics (SPP3) to be held in Dijon, France from June 17th to 22nd, 2007. The previous edition gathered over 250 participants and was held in Graz, Austria.

Since Surface Plasmon Photonics is now a matured field, this specific conference should be a good opportunity for having a clear overview of the current state of the art in a convivial atmosphere and avoiding thematic dispersion.

SPP3 will provide a well focused conference on plasmonics, including:

• Passive plasmonics components: surface plasmon waveguide, filters
• Theory and modelling
• Active plasmonics components: diodes, optical transistors
• Optical data storage
• Extraordinary transmission through subwavelength apertures
• Nanofabrication
• Metamaterials, negative index materials
• Surface plasmon and Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS)
• Plasmonic effect on individual or interacting…
